看见一篇文章的时候，你是不是这样的：

这个词好眼熟啊…

那个词我刚背过…

但是

怎么都记不住了？

       所以，词汇到底要怎么办？

       捧着一本词汇书或者app背单词’应该是大多数英语学习者的词汇积累方式，但是这样背单词总是很容易忘…或者不会输出…

       针对以上现象，建议大家一定要学过从外刊读物，新闻或是电视节目中积累。在特定的情境下背单词，这样不仅能够帮助大家在短时间内扩充词汇量，而且还能够掌握更多词汇的地道用法，达到灵活快速地调动储存词汇。

       The Guardian view on fast fashion： it can’t cost the earth

       首先，我们来一起解读题目

       第一个值得注意的点是’on’的用法，在表达关于什么的看法时，用‘on’

       接着题目中出现了一个很有地道的短语，‘cost the earth，花费一大笔，代价惨重‘ 这个词组表达非常形象，可以大家可以在口语中使用

e.g. Do you use perfume？
Definitely yeah. I prefer using perfume from Dior and Chanel. Although the perfume of these two brands costs the earth, I am still willing to pay for it.



Fashion operates on desire. How we dress feeds off craving to be different as well as part of a tribe；to be en vogue but ahead of the pack. The message from the high street is that such wishes can fulfilled，and fast fashion plays on the idea that hunger can be sated immediately.

Operate on 基于…运转

这个短语在大作文中可以这样用
e.g. Happiness contemporarily operates on a wide range of factors including income，living standard and the fulfilling of spiritual needs.

Feed off 受…的激发

这一个词组无论是在口语还是在写作中都能使用上
e.g. The reason why I want to make a cake for my mon feeds off a  TV drama. (口语)

ahead of the pack 成功领先，出类拔萃

这是一个非常地道的口语表达，大家一定在口语中用起来！！！
e.g. I also need to make all efforts to study what I am interested in to stay ahead of the pack so that I can be more competitive than peers in the future workplace. (口语)

sate v. 使心满意足

这个词可以和satisfy做替换，所以大家想要使用satisfy的时候可以尝试替换成这个词
E.g. I was finally sated after my parents threw a birthday party for me. （口语）



But to overcome such urges we need to reflect on the fragility of our planet. This means accepting that there is a better way to keep the pleasures of fashion open to all parts of society than promoting disposable clothes as desirable.
